In the very beginning, people take a bath before worshipping Lord Vishwakarma. After that, people collected their weapons and all mechanical things such as bikes, cars, trucks, etc. and cleansed them. Then, they kept the statue or photo of Lord Vishwakarma.
Also, some people kept a statue or photo of Lord Vishnu Narayan along with Lord Vishwakarma. After that, they worship Lord Vishwakarma along with Lord Vishnu, offerings him Jal (pure water), fruits, and sweets. People then worship their weapons and other mechanical things such as bikes, cars, trucks, etc.
It is believed that Lord Vishwakarma helps for the smooth working of these weapons and mechanical things if they are worshipped on this day.
Along with these, people also offer ‘bali’ of animals such as goats, hen, etc. to their weapons and mechanical parts on this day. Also, people broke a coconut in front of their weapons and mechanical things. These activities are performed with the belief that it would prevent them from any unpredicted accident while using that weapon and mechanical things.
